A Simple translation goes as follows:
_________________________________________________________________________________

Vasantha kaala nathigalile vaira mani neeralaigal
Diamond water droplets in this spring season stream
Neeralaigal meethinile nenjirandin ninaivalaigal
These two love hearts thoughts were on it
NInaivalaigal thodarnthu vanthal, neramellam kanavalaigal
If we continue these thoughts, our times were like waves of dreams
Kanavalaigal valarvatharku kaamanavan malarkanaigal
Love god’s garland-arrows will help to continue those dreams
Malarkanaigal paainthuvittal madi irandum panjanaigal
If I get that garland, your laps will be my bed
Panjanaiyil pallikondal manamirandum thalaiyanaigal
If I sleep on your lap our hearts become pillows
Thalaiyanaiyil mugam puthaitu sarasamidum puthu kalaigal
Keeping face on pillows is the new arts of intimacy
Puthu kalaigal peruvatharku poomaalai manavinaigal
We’d get married to know more things
